My first podcast hosted by Urban Sports Insider

My first podcast!!!! Hahahaha, this was a real challenge but also, so much fun!! When Marcus asked me to do this, I was like: why?! It's one of those things, when you're being yourself and living your own life, daily (man, sounds like a struggle haha) it doesn't seem as exciting, so it's good to have friends by your side to remind you that you're actually doing dope stuff. And so there I was, a day after I twisted my ankle, the night before the Red Hook Crit 5K (the fastest and most exhilarating race I've ever experienced here in NYC!), Marcus asked me to come into the studio. I think I was pretty nervous recording my own voice. I am just so self conscious when it comes to the spoken word. English is my 3rd language, so I am always a bit nervous about... yes, speaking! Especially public speaking. Well, practice helps, so here we go:

in this episode of the Urban Sports Insider podcast, a conversation that explores the urban sports community here in NY, we touch on: how it was like growing up as a Vietnamese in Germany, partying all night as a younger version of me (yup, making everyone drunk at my 18th birthday), the story behind @goldtogreen, the ongoing journey towards balance through movement, nutrition and mindfulness, my runnings with @blackrosesnyc, my work with @districtvision, my involvement with @girlsgottarun, representation in the health and well-being community and my new project @wocforward. As mentioned, I had to step outside of my comfort zone to do this, but it turned out to be all fun and giggles!
