Breakfast Market Berlin
Breakfast - it's probably my favorite meal because it will set the tone for the rest of your day. As you might know from my earlier posts, I like to keep it easy but loaded with superfoods. Check that raw x vegan oatmeal here. But sometimes, there are these special occasions where your friends call you out for some breakfast adventure.
Every 3rd Sunday of the month you will find a breakfast feast at the Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg. A variety of international vendors are happy to serve you American-style Bagels, Korean Congee with Kimchi, Latin Breakfast Arepas, Eggs Benedict, Wheatgrass Shots and much much more. Plan a couple of hours to spend inside this large building here because not only do you get your sunday meal fixed, but you can also go shopping and get your hands on lovely treasures from independent businesses such as jam, coffee, knives, porcelain and bread boxes.
Sunday Burgers are most likely one of the favorites in here. For 4€, you will get a vegan burger filled with fresh vegetables, beets, sprouts and grilled tofu slices topped with homemade sauces such as the Mango Chutney and the Chipotle Chili. They also offer fresh juices and vegan sweets. After this delicious and filling start, we spent some time strolling around the different stalls and decided to go for a dessert. In the final round, we treated ourselves with some Belgian Waffles with Pistachio and Green Tea Icecream.
So for non-Berliners and Berliners, this breakfast or brunch celebration is a must-go. Starting at 10am, make sure to get up in time because the vendors easily run out of food. Happy eating and exploring!
